2002-2003 During this time I was an F-16 wingman in a fighter Squadron, and
learning to fly the F-16 was pretty much a full time job during this report.
-
Aerial Achievement Medal After the 9-11 terrorist attacks our squadron
flew missions over Washington DC to protect the US President, Congress, and the rest of the US capital from future terrorist attacks.
I flew hundreds of hours over DC carrying radar missiles, heat seeking missiles, and 500 rounds of 20mm ammunition. It was a pretty big
responsibility.
-
2003-2004 During this time I went from a followership position to a leadership position
in the F-16 by becoming an F-16 Flight Lead. I also did a job in the squadron's weapon's shop managing a
computer system, weapons data encryption technology, planning missions, stuff like that.
-
2004-2005 F-16 Flight Lead and Chief of Scheduling for a fighter Squadron.
Chief of Scheduling was a big job, coordinating 20 fighter jets, 30 pilots, foreign airspace, tankers, etc. I had one captain and
3 lieutenants working under me. Being a Flight Lead was totally awesome because I was the airborne commander of a team of
4 F-16s when I flew as a flight lead.

2005-2006
This was a non-flying job as Liaison Officer to an Army infantry brigade. My job was to supervise enlisted men assigned to the infantry brigade
and provide expert knowledge to the Army about Air Force weapons employment.
